IT TAKES GREAT CHARACTERS TO MAKE GREAT WINES and at TeAro Estate you’ll find plenty of both.
After 18 months of meticulous restorations of a heritage listed 1850’s barn, TeAro Estate has opened their Tasting Room in the main street of Williamstown. Boasting a lovingly re-pointed stonework exterior, upon entering you are greeted by a warm, contemporary and relaxed atmosphere with a variety of lounges, bar stools and tasting stations for guests to enjoy a hosted wine or tea tasting experience.
Focusing on regionality, expect to find local art, local produce, locally made gifts and well-being products, many exclusive to TeAro Estate. Messagemark cards are also available to purchase, along with some wonderful Ball of Light photographs by my hubby Denis Smith.
TeAro Estate have also launched TeA Time at TeAro’s. An innovative concept that highlights the synergies between wine and tea including harvesting, tannins, terroir, fermentation and colour. Visitors have the opportunity to purchase a pot of Barossa Valley locally blended green, black and herbal teas from Scullery Made and Adam Alexander. The teas are presented in exclusive hand blown glass Teapots from Japan and include tasting notes with a quirky wine spin.
In addition families are made to feel welcome with parents being able to purchase a ‘TeAro Treat’ bag which includes some snacks, a special treat and some activities to keep the children entertained throughout the day.
TeAro Estate pride themselves on being a 4th generation family owned business, with 100% estate grown fruit. A strong family presence in the Tasting Room, ensures visitors get the opportunity to meet the vignerons and winemakers behind the wines. Don’t be surprised if you bump into 2nd generation vigneron Ron Fromm (famous for the ‘Iron Fist’ Grenache) who is still an integral part of the team and loves making an appearance at the Tasting Room for a chat, or just to wield that iron fist whenever the opportunity arises.
